Day 15,16,17,18/366

on Sunday, i really didn’t do much, packers got beat, so it meant the niners will be playing the giants in the semi finals. drank a little bit with my coworkers, then i chilled with edgar. edgar is a old friend. 

on monday it was MLK day, so i slept in? i don’t really know, i mean yay a day off, but what does it mean? do we do something special to celebrate? for valentines day we buy chocolates, for st. patty’s day we drink. how do we celebrate equality? which doesn’t really exist anywhere btw(based on perspective).  

at the end of the night, had dinner with thanh’s family. his brother told me he wants to go into the medical field.  now this is the same guy that i find annoying when drunk/high. and ryo if youre watching, i wanna tell you you have my full suport, but lets be logical. you’re in over your head, and that isn’t just me talking, you have very little grasp of what it takes to begin a career to go into the medical field.  so you have been to jail before, and you met some pretty angry and mean people. ONE NIGHT IN THE DRUNK TANK DOESN’T COUNT. besides, how would that in any way prepare you for an educational medical degree? it doesn’t and that why i said you gotta know your limits. you believe you have a grasp on it, but you don’t and i have already told myself this year imma try to change your attitude, one way or another. 

Tuesday was productive as fuck. ran a couple miles in the morning, had a healthy breakfast. didn’t finish much else because i got called in to work. a little lame, but got enough money to finally buy a gym membership. also chilled with my coworker after work. she is pretty chill, but not my type. the search continues.

Wednesday was errand day. had a small run in the morning, getting ready to run a 10k marathon, with stoging lungs, fuck. its in about 3 weeks too, so theres no turning back.  i just want to see if i can finish now, hoping i won’t just quit half way through and grab food.

went to costco with mary. that’s where i bought my membership because it is partially cheaper buying it from a wholesale warehouse than paying on the monthly. we then headed to great mall and spent a couple hours looking for her new shoes. she needed a pair for work at a salon, so closed toe, non-linting fabric, and preferably not a hair trap. her mary janes are good, but she explained how they get hair “EVERYWHERE”.  kinda awkward for me because i don’t really look for ladys shoes, but thats life. a fuckload of random awkward moments and how you take em. i don’t think i did too bad, we found a store that was buy one get one free, really straight free? couldn’t believe it myself until i saw two pairs cost her $18.  fuck the shoes, fuck yea good deal. then we headed to walmart, buy some groceries. saw they already had the valentine stuff out. all the chocolates and stuff. then i took her home so she could cook.

headed to quicklys with a couple of friends, chilled and stoged. tommy and bonny showed up, been a long time since i seen them. and tony… they then began talking about how they want to set me up with a girl. tony suggested speed dating. im not middle aged a desperate tony, but i told him i’ll give it a shot. bonny just believes i shouldn’t do anything embarrassing anymore to get a girl, still made you laugh huh? tommy told me i need to run through the motions and everything should work out. GUYS IM FINE, i’ll look for someone later, after valentines day sound good?

pretty later, i went over to john’s house and had a couple beers. got pretty faded and then headed home. on the way to my car ( its about a bock away from john’s house) i saw two drunks sitting in the cold. i didn’t want to startle them, so i just slowly walked to my car. the guy then said “uh-oh”, but i calmed him down. told him” don’t worry bro, im pretty hammered” and then the girl said sweet. we had a laugh and we went on our ways. funny thing last night i thought i saw a car i remembered, prob my imagination.

before sleeping, i decided i should watch 500 day of summer. figure i should since its been ages since it came out, and i was told it was pretty good. its about a boy and a girl who meet in NY, the guy then falls in love. you’ll have to watch the rest to find out more.

i’m not gonna compare how the movie and my life kinda resemble one another. i’m not gonna cliche the crap outta this movie. its just that in the movie, there are parts of it the have underlying meaning to me. but not just me, this generic film has probably plucked a couple heartstrings of other guys/girls.  there are certain scenes in the movie that hit home, which means i am not the only person that has went through this shit. duh

from my experience, i learned how to better myself, and the same goes for Joseph in the movie. all in all its a good movie, and i’ll will be watching it again, just not alone next time.
